THIGH CONTOURING

The thighs can develop stubborn pockets of fat, loose skin or both, which may not respond adequately to exercise or weight loss. You are an ideal candidate if you have

* Stubborn thigh or saddlebag fat despite weight loss and exercise.

* Disproportionate outer or inner thigh fullness.

* Loose or hanging thigh skin, particularly after significant weight loss.

Thigh Liposuction &Saddlebag Correction

Thigh liposuction removes localized fat deposits from areas such as the inner thighs, outer thighs and saddlebag region. It helps create a smoother, slimmer and more proportionate thigh contour. “Saddlebags” refer to excess fat along the outer upper thighs and below the hips, creating a bulge that can make the body appear wider at the sides. Liposuction can selectively reduce these fat deposits by creating a smoother silhouette.

It is most suitable when there is good skin elasticity and excess fat without significant loose skin.

Thighplasty — Thigh Lift

When there is significant loose or hanging skin, particularly after substantial weight loss or ageing, liposuction alone may not provide the desired result. A thigh lift (thighplasty) removes excess skin and reshapes the thigh for a firmer, smoother contour. Liposuction can be combined with thighplasty when both excess fat and loose skin are present.

Thighplasty Scar and Recovery

For suitable patients, an inner thigh lift with a groin-based scar can be performed. The scar is placed within the natural crease of the groin and extends along the upper inner thigh depending on the amount of skin that needs to be removed. In patients with severe loose skin a long scar is concealed along the inner aspect of thighs. The scar is permanent but gradually fades and softens with healing and varies from person to person.

A compression garment is usually worn after thigh liposuction and thighplasty to support the treated tissues, reduce swelling and help the skin settle smoothly over the new contour. Activities that put tension on the incisions are restricted during the early healing period.

The goal is a smoother, slimmer and better-proportioned thigh contour while maintaining a natural appearance
